SAB FILE 499: THE LOATHSOME ONE

    A deific being, thought to be the godhead of many Class I and II SABs, it's known by many names among the Underground. Most commonly referred to as "The Loathsome One", it is a Class X SAB; fundamentally impossible to contain, and though untested, is presumed to be invulnerable, no attempts at containment are authorized.

    Much like Gilgamesh (SAB FILE 555), it is a mostly "neutral" SAB, choosing to appear at its discretion, usually to an audience of its worshippers. With only a handful of interactions, our active data is limited. Apart from one attempt at contact from Yaeger, all that is known are rumors and first hand accounts gathered from other Anomalous Beings.

    Per our sources, any attempt to communicate with it from a non-enhanced human will result in a psychotic episode causing blindness, bleeding from the eyes, and inducing psychosis, rendering them insane. Only Yaeger has clearance for contact, should the need arise.

    Each reappearance of "The Loathsome One" is heralded by disaster - fires, earthquakes, floods - its presence alone being enough to cause calamity. We will continue to study what we can of it, and any connection it may hold to SAB FILE 001.
